Season 2 of the Young Sherlock series started in late May 2026. Since then camera's are running thoughout Palermo and the United Kingdom. FIlming expected to continue through the end of the year, with a late 2027 or early 2028 premiere on Prime Video the most realistic expectation.

The cameras started rolling near Penola on June 12, 2025. A small, limestone-coast town of 1,400 people in South Australia's far south-east. From Penola, the production spread to the Southern Barossa region and back to Adelaide Studios, where the interiors were built. Netflix's My Brilliant Career – the new series adaptation of Miles Franklin's beloved novel, premiering August 13, 2026 – was filmed entirely in South Australia.

Taylor Sheridan is from Fort Worth. He knows these streets. And when it came time to build the world of Frisco King — the Tulsa King spinoff in which Samuel L. Jackson plays Russell Lee Washington Jr., a former hitman building a criminal empire in North Texas — Sheridan brought the cameras home.

It was impossible to miss. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson cruising through Austin in a Ford F-150, wearing matching blue cowboy suits, being pulled over by Austin police on West Riverside Drive. The cameras were rolling. Throughout 2025, the duo turned Austin into their set – drawing social media attention from Auditorium Shores to Congress Avenue, popping up at local landmarks and flooding the city's streets with production trucks.

Victorian Psycho is set in 1858 in Victorian England. An eccentric young governess named Winifred Notty arrives at the remote gothic manor of Ensor House. Staff begin to disappear. The owners begin to wonder. Despite being set in Victorian England, almost the entire film was brought to life in Ireland, using one remarkable historic castle as its primary filming location.

"That is a wrap on production. 74 days. Two countries and two islands. A passionate and dedicated crew." That was Gina Prince-Bythewood's Instagram post in June 2025. Seventy-four days across Nigeria, South Africa and the Canary Islands to build a fictional African kingdom from the ground up.

20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television

A semi-autobiographical psychological thriller set in 1981 Los Angeles, following 17-year-old Bret Easton Ellis as his elite prep school life unravels amid a serial killer's reign and the arrival of a mysterious new student. The story was always going to be filmed in the city where it happened. The cameras started rollibg in September 2025 in Los Angeles.

The story says Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer race across Europe. The cameras never left the Czech Republic. That gap – between the show's globe-trotting premise and its rigorously Czech production reality – is an impressive location illusion. Principal photography began in January 2025 under the working title USW and ran for 109 filming days, wrapping in early July.

Hawaii. Sicily. Thailand. The French Riviera is a logical next stop. The White Lotus season 4 began filming on April 15, 2026, across Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Monaco and Paris — the story following a new group of guests and staff at the White Lotus hotel over the course of a single week during the Cannes Film Festival.

The trailer gives it away. From a speedboat cutting through the water off Ischia's Aragonese Castle to a race sequence at Goodwood, and a visit to the Royal Palace of Caserta. Jordan's thirteen-years-in-the-making reimagination of the classic heist story, opening March 5, 2027 – filmed across London, West Sussex, the Amalfi Coast, Ischia and the Royal Palace of Caserta. For four weeks in the late spring of 2026, Palermo became Constantinople. The streets of Sicily's ancient, layered capital were dressed as the Ottoman capital of the 19th century, with costumed extras, period market stalls and a young Sherlock Holmes in a dark bowler hat working his way through the crowd.

Since July 14, 2025 – when cameras officially began rolling at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden – the new HBO series Harry Potter has been filming its way across England, from a Cornish fishing village to King's Cross Station to the cloisters of Oxford University.
