Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee kissed at Horse Guards Parade: The London filming locations of Honeymoon/Funeral

Honeymoon/Funeral

In August 2026, set photos leaked of Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee filming a romantic comedy in London – sharing a kiss on location, clearly the leads of whatever this film turned out to be. Within hours, social media had worked itself into a considerable state. The film was Honeymoon/Funeral. The kiss was at Horse Guards Parade. Filming will continue through October 2026.

Honeymoon/Funeral is directed by Nahnatchka Khan – whose previous credits include Always Be My Maybe and Totally Killer – from a screenplay by Julia Bicknell. It is financed and produced by MRC and Fierce Baby.

Ferguson and Greta Lee star as two women who meet on a flight from Los Angeles to London: one is en route to her honeymoon alone, having been left at the altar by her girlfriend; the other is headed home for her mother's funeral. They wind up spending the week together. Carrie Coon – fresh from The White Lotus – has joined as Sarah, the ex-fiancée of Lee's character.

In a prior July 2026 interview with Willem Dafoe published in Interview magazine, Lee mentioned she was set to travel to London for a new romance film. The following month, the first set photos emerged. The film was confirmed in September. No release date has been announced, though 2027 is the most realistic expectation.

London

The first public filming location is Horse Guards Parade in central London – the historic ceremonial parade ground behind Downing Street. Ferguson and Lee were filmed here in August 2026, sharing a kiss against one of the ornate iron railings of the archway leading through to Whitehall. The formal, ceremonially charged setting – where the Household Cavalry stand guard and Trooping the Colour takes place each June – is an unexpected but distinctive choice for a romantic comedy's most intimate moment. Production has been active in filming in London in recent weeks, generating media speculation before the film's official confirmation.
