On July 13, 2026, location managers for a film codenamed Karma had warned residents of Primrose Hill that roads would be closed while a red London bus crash was staged in Chalcot Road outside the Princess of Wales pub. And Ben Stiller was spotted running up and down the road looking, in the words of one local, "very distressed." And the folowwing day, he was in Dorset.

One hour. One phone call. One city to sprint across. The Runner was shot entirely on location in London – not a studio, not a backlot, not a carefully chosen stand-in city. The real thing, across the spring and early summer of 2025, from April 22 to early July. It premieres eight months later.

If you leave a door open, the Whisper Man will come. Netflix's adaptation of Alex North's bestselling thriller arrives on August 28, 2026, with Robert De Niro, Adam Scott, Michelle Monaghan and Michael Keaton. And it was filmed across New Jersey – five communities in two months, from April 7 to June 4, 2025.

Brad Ingelsby grew up in Berwyn, Delaware County. He wrote Mare of Easttown about the place. He wrote Task about the place. And when season 2 of Task began filming on July 6, 2026, he brought it back to the same working-class Pennsylvania streets that have defined everything he has ever made for television. Creator Ingelsby has proudly called it a Delco story.

Principal photography for Mayday began on March 4, 2024, under the working title Blackbird, and wrapped on June 5, 2024 – a tight fourteen-week shoot across four locations: Montreal, Budapest, San Diego, and an undisclosed location that provided the Russian wilderness the story required.

When Dutton Ranch – the Yellowstone spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser – premiered on Paramount+ on May 15, 2026, it opened not in the familiar blue-grey light of the Gallatin Range but in the harsh, saturated heat of South Texas. Army of Shadows – a six-part Channel 4 and Canal+ drama written by Ronan Bennett (MobLand, The Day of the Jackal) and directed by Lisa Gunning (Black Doves, The Power) – began filming in Liverpool in July 2026. The production will also shoot in Manchester, London, and Paris.

Anthony Ippolito was spotted outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art on November 20, 2025, in a grey sweatsuit, sprinting up 72 stone steps. The same steps that Rocky Balboa ran up in 1976. The same steps that have had a bronze statue of the fictional boxer at their base since 1982. The same steps that millions of tourists climb every year, arms raised, Gonna Fly Now running through their heads.

Will Ferrell's first television comedy series starts with a simple, almost painful premise. Lonnie "The Hawk" Hawkins was the world's number one golfer in 2004. His body says retire. His heart says absolutely not. And somewhere in Los Angeles, between September and December 2025, a film crew followed him around golf courses and fairways to document what a man in that particular kind of denial looks like. The serie Maxton Hall is set in England. Almost none of it was filmed there. That gap – between a fictional British elite boarding school and its very real German neo-Gothic stand-in – is an elegantly executed location illusion. And it is about to be repeated for the third and final time.

Production on Camped Out – a new YA comedy series co-produced by Netflix, BBC and CBC, produced by Blue Ant Studios – was announced on July 9, 2026, with filming already underway in Ontario, Canada. The CBC Media Centre announcement confirmed Ontario as the filming province and noted it joins other Netflix productions that have filmed there, including I Will Find You, Wayward and Ginny & Georgia.
