Filmed across London: The filming locations of The Runner
The Runner
One hour. One phone call. One city to sprint across. The Runner was shot entirely on location in London — not a studio, not a backlot, not a carefully chosen stand-in city. The real thing, across the spring and early summer of 2025, from April 22 to early July. It premieres eight months later.
The Runner — Amazon Prime Video's real-time action thriller starring Gal Gadot and Damian Lewis, directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, The Mauritanian) .
A high-powered attorney receives a call from a mysterious anonymous caller telling her that her son has been abducted. She has one hour. She must follow cryptic instructions. And she must keep running.

From Regent's Canal in Camden the production moved east along St Pancras Way, filming sequences on the canal-side road that connects Camden to King's Cross, before eventually reaching Canary Wharf, where Gadot was filmed on location on May 9.

Gadot's Maia Marten is running over the Millennium Bridge, the pedestrian suspension crossing that spans the Thames between the Tate Modern and St Paul's Cathedral.
Further east in the City, Coleman Street and King's Arms Yard — a narrow lane running into a tucked-away courtyard in the heart of the Square Mile, two minutes from the Bank of England — provided thefilming locations for a confrontation with the police.
Watling Street, one of the City's oldest streets, running from Cannon Street toward St Paul's along the line of the Roman road that gave it its name, was also used as a filming location.
The Runner arrives on Prime Video on September 2, 2026
