The upcoming true-crime drama Roofman, starring Channing Tatum and directed by Derek Cianfrance, went into production in North Carolina in late 2024. The story follows real-life serial robber Jeffrey Manchester, and the production has turned various local spots into authentic backdrops.

The fifth season of Only murders in the building was announced shortly after season four started airing. The show follows true crime-obsessed neighbors Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) as they investigate murders in their upscale New York apartment building, the Arconia.
