From Pinewood to Bahrain: Every real location behind Avengers: Doomsday
Avengers: Doomsday
Principal photography for Avengers: Doomsday ran from April through September 2025 — nearly five months, across England and Bahrain, under the working title Apple Pie 1. Principal photography began on April 28, 2025, at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. The return to Britain marks the first time an Avengers film has been based in the UK since Age of Ultron, a decade ago.
The primary filming location for Avengers: Doomsday is Pinewood Studios in England, known for hosting major blockbusters like Star Wars, James Bond, and previous MCU films. The studio's soundstages housed the film's vast interior sets — Doctor Doom's throne room, the multiverse conference sequences, and the dozens of individual character scenes required when more than 60 actors potentially reprise their MCU roles in a single film.
Windsor Great Park
The next phase of filming was scheduled to take place at Windsor Great Park on June 15, 18, and 26–27. Marvel Studios applied for permission through All Time Productions Ltd UK to film in Windsor Great Park for a period of six months. The set includes a 1960s-themed bungalow called the "Luke Cage House" with a spaceship attached, which was under construction.
Windsor Great Park — the 2,020-hectare royal estate stretching south from Windsor Castle through ancient woodland to Virginia Water — has hosted royal ceremonies, equestrian events, and military tattoos across its thousand-year history. It has not, until now, hosted a 1960s suburban bungalow with a spacecraft attached. The story goes that the studio paid millions to shoot in Windsor Great Park.

Bahrain
Marvel Studios released the first Avengers: Doomsday teaser featuring scenes filmed in Bahrain. The cast spotted in the Kingdom included Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, and Tenoch Huerta Mejía, alongside director Joe Russo. Location filming was taking place in Bahrain by the end of May 2025.
Berkshire
Beyond Pinewood and Windsor Great Park, Marvel applied for permission to film in Berkshire in June 2025 — a third distinct English county in the location schedule, details of which have not been publicly confirmed.
