Anya Taylor-Joy ran through Caesars Palace all night long: The filming locations of Apple TV+'s Lucky

Apple TV+'s Lucky announced itself to the world — not with a press release, but with Anya Taylor-Joy sprinting through Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for twelve hours straight. "We started by shooting all nights in Las Vegas in Caesars Palace from 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM just running through that casino," Taylor-Joy told Brit+Co, "and by the end of that, I was like, 'Right, this is our show. It's never gonna let up. This is what it is.'"
Lucky is one of the streamer's most anticipated releases of the year — a seven-episode limited series based on Marissa Stapley's New York Times bestseller, co-produced by Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, directed by Jonathan Van Tulleken (Shōgun), and starring Taylor-Joy alongside Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Drew Starkey.
Filming ran from February through July 2025, under the working title Aces, across Nevada and Southern California.
Las Vegas
Drew Starkey and Anya Taylor-Joy were spotted filming Lucky at a Las Vegas casino on February 24. That casino was Caesars Palace — one of the most recognisable addresses on the Strip, a 166-acre resort with a Roman Empire theme, 3,960 rooms, and an interior so deliberately overwhelming that it functions as a kind of sensory pressure cooker.
Scenes featuring Anya Taylor-Joy and Drew Starkey were also shot on a rooftop overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, capturing the neon-lit skyline that defines the city's nightlife. Large-scale outdoor sequences were staged at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. The Festival Grounds provide a very different visual register from Caesars' gilded interiors. The show clearly wanted both faces of Las Vegas. The glamour and the void underneath it.

Long Beach
In May 2025, filming moved to The Promenade in Long Beach, between 3rd and 5th Streets. The Promenade is a pedestrian street in downtown Long Beach lined with shops and restaurants. The location was used for an action sequence.
Long Beach Airport is also on the location list — runways doubling as backdrop. So is the Golden Sails Hotel, a waterfront spot overlooking Alamitos Bay, all glass and marina views, and Caruso Ford on Cherry Avenue rounds out the list.
Los Angeles
Several scenes were filmed at local strip malls across Los Angeles. Anya Taylor-Joy's character was filmed performing a getaway sequence where she jumps into a white van with a mock cleaning service logo, captured by locals and paparazzi in March 2025 at a strip mall in the Los Angeles area.
Big Sky Movie Ranch in Simi Valley provided wide exterior landscapes used for scenes requiring open terrain and visual separation from urban settings. The ranch — best known as the former location of the original Little House on the Prairie sets — offers rolling hills and near-desert scenery that places characters outside the city without leaving Southern California.
Interior scenes and studio work were completed at Loyal Studios in Burbank, California, which served as the production's primary soundstage base for controlled environment filming throughout the Los Angeles leg of the shoot.
Lucky premieres on Apple TV+ on July 15, 2026.
