The same steps that have had a bronze statue of the fictional boxer at their base since 1982. The same steps that millions of tourists climb every year, arms raised, Gonna Fly Now running through their heads.

Will Ferrell's first television comedy series starts with a simple, almost painful premise. Lonnie "The Hawk" Hawkins was the world's number one golfer in 2004. His body says retire. His heart says absolutely not. And somewhere in Los Angeles, between September and December 2025, a film crew followed him around golf courses and fairways to document what a man in that particular kind of denial looks like. The serie Maxton Hall is set in England. Almost none of it was filmed there. That gap – between a fictional British elite boarding school and its very real German neo-Gothic stand-in – is an elegantly executed location illusion. And it is about to be repeated for the third and final time.

Production on Camped Out – a new YA comedy series co-produced by Netflix, BBC and CBC, produced by Blue Ant Studios – was announced on July 9, 2026, with filming already underway in Ontario, Canada. The CBC Media Centre announcement confirmed Ontario as the filming province and noted it joins other Netflix productions that have filmed there, including I Will Find You, Wayward and Ginny & Georgia.

Donnie Yen posted two words on Instagram on April 25, 2026: "Here we go." The photo showed a clapperboard. Behind it, the first day of filming on Caine – the John Wick spinoff in which Yen plays the blind assassin he introduced in Chapter 4, and which he is now directing himself for the first time in a major Hollywood production.

I, Jack Wright was filmed primarily across Hertfordshire and London, with additional scenes shot in Paris. The English Home Counties provide exactly the right atmosphere for a story about what people will do when the money runs out. And the Wright family's grand country estate turns out to be a Grade I listed Tudor manor in Buckinghamshire that you can visit.

Dune: Part Three – the final chapter of Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's trilogy, based on the 1969 novel Dune Messiah – was filmed between July 8 and November 2025, across two countries and one of the most remote desert landscapes on earth.

Netflix is making a romantic comedy called Positano – named after the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, the vertical town of pastel houses and bougainvillea that is one of the most photographed villages in Italy. And the main filming location is Lake Iseo in Lombardy.

Paris Paramount – the romantic comedy that nearly didn't exist – began principal photography on May 17, 2026, in Los Angeles. It is scheduled to wrap September 17. Warner Bros. Pictures releases it on December 25, 2027. Eleven years after The Intern, the director of Something's Gotta Give, The Holiday, and It's Complicated is making her return.
