In early March 2026, director Sam Mendes began filming his four-film Beatles biographical project in Liverpool, with Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.
The production continues through all of 2026, filming under the working titles of each individual film, with London and Liverpool as the main UK locations. Filming in Liverpool is not just a practical choice — it is a statement. The city that shaped the band is now the city that must contain four of the most scrutinised performances in recent cinema history.
