It took fifteen years, four false starts, and a change of studio ownership before Masters of the Universe actually made it into cinemas. Released on June 5, 2026 by Amazon MGM Studios, it turned out to be a location-driven blockbusters.

Bridgerton season 5 began shooting in late March 2026 and is expected to run for around eight months. The upcoming season follows Francesca Bridgerton, played by Hannah Dodd, and Michaela Stirling, played by Masali Baduza.

In early March 2026, director Sam Mendes began filming his four-film Beatles biographical project in Liverpool, with Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

Rome isn't just a backdrop. It's the entire point. Netflix's live-action Assassin's Creed series is filming entirely in Italy — based at Cinecittà Studios, where the production is expanding the existing ancient Rome backlot, including a replica of the Roman Forum.

Production took place in June 2024, with Montréal providing the majority of the show's streets, restaurants, offices and apartment buildings. The city's historic neighbourhoods and brick architecture closely resemble parts of Boston, making it a popular stand-in for the American city.

West Georgia Street doesn't look like itself right now. Near the RBC Tower at 1055 West Georgia in downtown Vancouver, rusted cars covered in moss and heaps of debris have taken over the streets for The Last of Us season 3. Kaitlyn Dever — who joined the cast as Abby in season 2 — was spotted on set alongside Kyriana Kratter in early May. Production runs under the working title "Calm Current" and continues through November 27. Season after season, Vancouver endures the end of the world on behalf of HBO. The city takes it well.

Nevermore Academy may exist only on paper, but the real set is somewhere near Dublin. Season 3 of Wednesday has been rolling since February 2026, with a wrap date expected around May 22. Ireland delivers what Romania once started: gothic architecture, dramatic landscapes, and a tax incentive that pulls in major productions. Winona Ryder is joining the cast, alongside Eva Green as Ophelia, Morticia Addams' long-lost sister. Netflix even dropped a first look showing Jenna Ortega's Wednesday standing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris — proof that Ireland isn't the only stop. Well chosen.

Paris was never going to be enough. Emily in Paris season 6 began filming on May 11, 2026, shooting across Paris, Greece, and Monaco. Netflix confirmed that production kicked off in Greece. It's the final chapter: Netflix announced this will be the show's last season. Monaco is brand new territory for the series — its casino culture and Formula 1 energy fit the show's aesthetic perfectly.
