Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol — Ti West's gothic reimagining of Dickens' 1843 novella starring Johnny Depp was filmed in England and Ireland. Principal photography began in early January 2026 in London and Dublin, with production confirmed underway in the UK by Screen Daily in February. Filming has since completed — as of July 24, the production is in editing and post-production, with visual effects work underway.
The ensemble assembled around Depp's Scrooge is formidable: Ian McKellen as Jacob Marley. Andrea Riseborough as the Ghost of Christmas Past. Tramell Tillman as the Ghost of Christmas Present. Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, Charlie Murphy, Arthur Conti and Ellie Bamber in further roles.
