Gotham is Glasgow again: The filming locations of The Batman: Part II
The Batman: Part II
The Batman: Part II began principal photography on June 12, 2026 — following years of delays attributed to the lengthy script process, the 2023 Hollywood strikes and Reeves's personal circumstances. Filming is primarily taking place on soundstages at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, with location shooting in England and Scotland.
Robert Pattinson returns as Batman. Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright and Colin Farrell also return, with new additions including Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry and Charles Dance.
The working title is Semper Vigilans — believed to be a reference to the Court of Owls.

Liverpool
Second unit filming and a technical recce took place at the old Birkenhead Tunnel and St George's Hall, Liverpool, starting on May 20, 2026, featuring vehicles with GCPD decals and yellow taxi cabs. Fans spotted Rick English — Pattinson's stunt double — on set in gear ready to film scenes.
Filming took place around the old Birkenhead Tunnel and within the Liverpool City Region during the week of July 20, before shooting on the Silver Jubilee Bridge in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Liverpool has now hosted three consecutive DC productions on this production's watch: The Batman in 2020, Clayface in 2025 around Liverpool Crown Court in Derby Square, and now The Batman: Part II

Glasgow
Glasgow's contribution to Part II is the most extensively documented and the most geographically specific of all the filming locations. Production designer Luke Hull was location scouting by late November 2025, particularly at Glasgow Cathedral and Anderston railway station. Fans spotted shots of cathedral stonework, narrow streets and the concrete gloom around Anderston station in the early scout photographs.
Three weeks of filming start from August 18, with confirmed locations including Bothwell Street, Wellington Street, Glasgow Bridge, Broomielaw, Newton Street under the Kingston Bridge, North Street, Pitt Street and the National Cycle Network Route 75 along the River Clyde. The road closure notices published by Glasgow City Council provide this detailed filming location info.
From August 2 through the end of the month: Bothwell Street between Blythswood Street and Wellington Street; St Vincent Street between Douglas Street and Hope Street; Wellington Street between Cadogan Street and West Regent Street; West Campbell Street between Waterloo Street and West George Street; Pitt Street between Bishop Lane and Bothwell Street. From August 27 to 29: Broomielaw between Oswald Street and Jamaica Street; Clyde Place between George V Bridge and Glasgow Bridge; Glasgow Bridge west side; Robertson Street east side. From August 28 to September 6: Washington Street between Broomielaw and Balaclava Street.
London
Besides the bulk of filming taking place on soundstages at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire — the same studio complex that housed the first film's interior work — London is also confirmed as an additional filming location alongside Liverpool and Glasgow, with specific London streets and buildings not yet publicly identified.
The Batman: Part II is scheduled for release on February 18, 2028.
