Sicily
For four weeks in the late spring of 2026, Palermo became Constantinople. The streets of Sicily's ancient, layered capital were dressed as the Ottoman capital of the 19th century, with costumed extras, period market stalls and a young Sherlock Holmes in a dark bowler hat working his way through the crowd.
Filming for Young Sherlock season 2 took place in Palermo from May 17 to June 13, 2026 – four weeks in which the city stood in for 19th-century Constantinople.
