Mike Flanagan went to Vancouver on February 15, 2025 to start prep on the series – and that is where the production stayed for the entirety of principal photography. Carrie – Flanagan's eight-episode reimagining of Stephen King's 1974 novel for Prime Video – premieres globally on October 7, 2026, with all eight episodes simultaneously.
Filming ran in Metro Vancouver from June to October 2025, with stage work at The Bridge Studios and location shoots across the city. The Bridge Studios – one of Vancouver's largest and most established production facilities – housed the interior sets of the White family home, the high school interiors, the gym and the domestic world of Chamberlain, Maine.

For the series' pivotal high school sequences – the corridors, the locker rooms, the gym where the prom scene plays out – the production used Eric Hamber Secondary School at 5025 Willow Street in Vancouver. A film crew began setting up at the school on Friday October 17, with interior filming commencing on the Monday. Scenes were filmed both inside and outside the school on the Wednesday, with the film set moving between buildings through the week. The final scenes were shot overnight on Friday October 24 – a temporary street closure on Willow Street from West 33rd Avenue to West 37th Avenue running from 10am until 2am Saturday to accommodate the overnight shoot.
Eric Hamber was transformed into the fictional Ewen High School for the production – the name used for Carrie's school in King's novel and subsequent adaptations. The school is no stranger to film crews: it was used for iZombie in November 2015 and for Netflix's Riverdale in late 2020.

The production's most spectacular on-location sequence took place in Cloverdale – the historic community within Surrey in Metro Vancouver whose preserved mid-century commercial strip provided the exterior world of Chamberlain, Maine. Filming began in Cloverdale on Thursday July 17 and wrapped Saturday July 19, with the majority of filming taking place at night.
Streets were closed and storefronts were transformed – local businesses made up to look like the Chamberlain Public Library and Skent's Hardware. The highlight of the Cloverdale shoot was a fiery set piece in which a number of cars appeared to be set ablaze, with the aftermath of a chaotic scene including debris strewn across the street.
Carrie premieres on Prime Video on October 7, 2026.
