Bogotá serves as the backdrop for filming a horror movie

Rosario,' the haunting feature debut by Felipe Vargas, was primarily filmed in Bogotá, Colombia, between mid-November 2023 and early 2024. 

The filmmakers captured the historic charm of the La Candelaria neighborhood, where its narrow cobblestone streets and colorful colonial facades provide an ideal backdrop for ancestral flashbacks and eerie alleyways. 

Within this setting, whispering rituals and supernatural visitations feel genuinely alive. In contrast, the sleek urban skyline of Centro Internacional serves as a constant reminder of Rosario's modern life. 

While the exterior scenes were filmed at real locations throughout Bogotá, key interior sequences—such as the snowbound apartment and ritual chambers—were shot on private soundstages.
