Adam Sandler and Chris Rock filmed in New Jersey — and heading to Europe: The filming locations of Grown Ups 3

On August 4, Sandler and Rock were spotted with a large film crew on Wendy Road in the Colonia section of Woodbridge, New Jersey — residents posting on Facebook as the production set up around them. 

Locals reported that Sandler was "extremely gracious and kind" and stopped to take photographs with Woodbridge children who crowded around the set.

The following days, the cast and crew were spotted filming at Rod's Steak & Seafood inside The Madison Hotel (Convent Road in Morristown, New Jersey). The official Instagram page of Morristown Media confirmed the report after speaking directly with a member of the production crew on-site. 

“According to the crew member, Adam Sandler is expected to be on-site during filming,” the post said. “If you’re in the area, you may notice production vehicles, equipment, and increased activity around the hotel.”

Production activity expanded as crew set up base at the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (9 Main Street in Madison, NJ).

On august 6, the production was also spotted in Maplewood, New Jersey.

Boston is confirmed as a filming location alongside New Jersey as the American production base. The specific Boston locations and scenes have not yet been publicly detailed — the production only began in early August.

Several filming locations have been listed for the shoot, including Italy and France, which makes sense given the synopsis that says the gang goes on a European trip.

Grown Ups 3 premieres on Netflix in 2027.
