Season 1 filmed in Romania. Season 2 moved to Ireland. Season 3 stayed in Ireland – and then sent Wednesday Addams to Paris. Production officially began in February 2026 near Dublin and wrapped on September 30, 2026. Season 3 is currently in post-production, with a 2027 Netflix premiere the most realistic expectation.
Wednesday season 3 is co-created and showrun by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton returning as executive producer and director. Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams. Catherine Zeta-Jones returns as Morticia. Luis Guzmán returns as Gomez.
The new cast is formidable: Eva Green plays Ophelia – the long-lost sister of Morticia. Winona Ryder joins. Lena Headey joins. Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer also join. Fred Armisen is also confirmed in the cast.
The season picks up with Wednesday on the run, armed with Ophelia’s mysterious journal and heading into a supernatural road trip beyond the gates of Nevermore.
Ireland
The primary production base is Ireland – with principal photography taking place around Dublin and County Wicklow from February 2026. Ashford Studios in Wicklow provided the soundstages for Nevermore Academy’s interior sequences, with the surrounding Wicklow landscape providing the gothic exterior environments the show has made its visual signature.
Fans spotted the production team at work in April 2026 around Three Park Place on Hatch Street Upper in Saint Kevin’s, Dublin – with social media posts suggesting the scenes filmed there are set in New York City.
