Mooresville – the Lake Norman town whose downtown was transformed into the fictional Maple Brook town centre for season 1 – returned in January 2026 for season 2 as the primary small-town streetscape location. Main Street, Broad Street and the interior of Pie in the Sky Pizza all featured in the shoot. Campaign signs reading “Keep Texas Strong: Vote Jed Banks for Governor” were spotted around town – a detail that tells you something about where the season 2 story is heading. Full production crews, dressed storefronts and a Texan political campaign on a North Carolina main street. Mooresville’s streets stepped back into the spotlight.
In early March 2026, Huntersville provided two confirmed filming days for season 2. On the evening of March 2 – from 6pm to 11pm – the 10400 block of McCoy Road was hard-closed in front of a farmhouse for filming. Social media reports suggest a chase scene was shot on the stretch between Hambright Road and Beatties Ford Road. T
The following day, March 3, production moved to Clutch Studios at 11101 Hambright Road, with intermittent traffic stops along Hambright Road and Mount Holly-Huntersville Road between 9am and 4pm – paused during afternoon school dismissal so buses could run on time. “They came in with a big team, like what you would expect in LA,” said Warren Vigus, co-founder of the studio.
On February 24, 2026, downtown Gastonia provided a new location for season 2 – cameras rolling from 7am to 7pm at the corner of North York Street and West Main Avenue. Interior scenes were filmed inside The Rustin on Main, with a large mechanical arm stationed outside the property carrying a light rig to illuminate the interior for the shoot.
The Hunting Wives season 2 premieres on Netflix on November 26, 2026.
