Robert Langdon races through Prague: The filming locations of Netflix's The Secret of Secrets
The Secret of Secrets
Robert Langdon has been to Paris. To Rome. To Barcelona. To Florence. For his sixth adventure — Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets, published in September 2025 and already in production as a Netflix limited series — he is heading to Prague. Filming is expected to begin in Prague in the coming months.
Prague has spent decades as Europe's most versatile stand-in city — doubling for Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Moscow, and practically any pre-modern European capital a production requires. The Secret of Secrets can break that pattern. The novel is set largely in the Czech capital, making the production one of the few major international projects to use Prague as itself rather than as a stand-in for another European city.
Brown's novel features recognisable Prague locations throughout, making authentic on-location filming not just desirable but structurally necessary. The city's Klementinum's Baroque library hall, Charles Bridge, the Four Seasons Hotel, Petřín Tower, Folimanka Par and the Jewish quarte are not only atmosphere. They are the plot.

The production is reportedly using several of the novel's key locations — including Klementinum and Charles Bridge — for on-location shoots in Prague.
