Montréal Is Boston, and nobody flinches: The filming locations of 56 Days
56 Days
Production took place in June 2024, with Montréal providing the majority of the show's streets, restaurants, offices and apartment buildings. The city's historic neighbourhoods and brick architecture closely resemble parts of Boston, making it a popular stand-in for the American city.
The appartment where detectives find a decomposed body, 56 days after the couple first met, was filmed at Myst sur le Canal, a condominium complex that revitalized a former industrial site beside the Lachine Canal in the Pointe-Saint-Charles area of Montréal.
The filming location of the couple’s first-date bar sequence is Club St-Denis is a long-running private members’ club in Montréal’s Latin Quarter.
The Old Port and the Lachine Canal
The Old Port waterfront district appears throughout the show, with scenes featuring Ciara and Oliver's early relationship filmed there. The Lachine Canal area near Myst sur le Canal also features, it connects Oliver's world to the city around it. It's also where things start to feel wrong.

The Rialto Theatre, Green Spot Restaurant and Club St-Denis
The Rialto Theatre appears in the series as the fictional Adlow Theater. The Rialto is one of Montréal's great survivors — a 1923 Beaux-Arts cinema on Avenue du Parc that has served as a concert hall, a theatre, and a film location across its hundred-year life.
A diner scene between detectives Lee and Karl was filmed at Green Spot Restaurant.
