4 Kids Walk into a Bank is a dark heist comedy starring Liam Neeson, being filmed around Limerick City. The production is transforming parts of the city to resemble 1990s America, which includes changes to storefronts, signage, and the addition of period vehicles.
On Catherine Street, Gleeson's Spar has been rebranded as Caruso's Mini Mart for the film. Across from it, the Sarsfield Credit Union is sporting new signage to become City Grand Bank.
Reports indicate that the former Ulster Bank building on O'Connell Street will serve as the interior of the titular bank, which the characters plan to rob.
Additionally, a local Limerick school has been used to create a setting that represents a U.S. high school.
This film production in Limerick is considered the largest ever to take place in the city. Filming concluded in January 2025, with a release date set for April 2026.
