Gareth Edwards' ambitious reboot, "Jurassic World: Rebirth," embraces real-world settings to capture the raw, immersive thrill inspired by the original film.
Filming began on June 13, 2024, across locations in Southeast Asia and North America.
Thailand (June–July 2024)
The heart of the jungle sequences was shot amidst Thailand's dramatic landscapes, including the lush trails of Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, the stunning Huai To Waterfall in Krabi, the pristine beaches of Ko Kradan in Trang's Hat Chao Mai, and the limestone labyrinths of Ao Phang Nga National Park. These locations stood in for the fabled Isle Saint-Hubert, providing verdant jungles, mangroves, and hidden lagoons.
Malta (July 2024)
Production then moved to Malta Film Studios in Kalkara, where oceanic and Mosasaurus chase scenes were created using massive water tanks and the nearby Mediterranean waters.
New York (August–September 2024)
Additional pick-up scenes were filmed in Brooklyn's DUMBO district, depicting a New York City Animal Control and Rescue sequence.
Filming wrapped up by late September 2024, with the film set to be released in cinemas in July 2025.
