Five seasons in New York. One murder per season. All of them in the Arconia. Season 6 is the first time Charles, Oliver and Mabel have left the building — and the first time the show has left New York entirely and went to London for the full season.
Production officially began on May 19, 2026, when Selena Gomez reposted a photo to Instagram Stories from the show's official account — Gomez on set with Martin, Short and Da'Vine Joy Randolph, captioned "Season 6 Day 1!" with a British flag emoji. Steve Martin marked the occasion with characteristic deadpan, posting a selfie in front of Trafalgar Square: "Now posting from an unknown location."
Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez all return as Charles, Oliver and Mabel. The London season brings a formidable wave of British and international additions: Olivia Colman, Meryl Streep, David Tennant, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent and Geri Halliwell-Horner join the ensemble.

Crews have also set up near the River Thames on the South Bank — the riverside cultural promenade running from Waterloo Bridge toward Tower Bridge, along the London Eye.
Behind-the-scenes photographs posted to the official @onlymurdershulu Instagram account confirm that filming took place at the London Eye in May 2026 — the 135-metre observation wheel on the South Bank whose glass capsules offer panoramic views across the capital.
Cast members were filmed on and around Portobello Road Market — the antique stalls, colourful Victorian terraces and Saturday market energy that make it one of London's most visually distinctive streets. For three amateur podcasters arriving in an unfamiliar city, Portobello Road is the correct first London experience: chaotic, charming and full of strangers with things to hide.

In June, the production moved to Greenwich — the historic riverside borough whose Old Royal Naval College, Cutty Sark, Greenwich Market and the Prime Meridian line give it a visual character unlike any other part of London.
In July 2026, the main trio were spotted filming at Freemasons' Hall on Great Queen Street in Covent Garden. The signage on the building confirmed its role in the story: Freemasons' Hall was standing in for the Crown Court of Central London. Built between 1927 and 1933 as a memorial to Freemasons who died in the First World War, its Art Deco grandeur — vast ceremonial rooms, marble columns, elaborately decorated temple halls — provides exactly the institutional weight that a London courtroom scene demands.
One behind-the-scenes photograph shows Selena Gomez sitting next to Martin Short and Steve Martin on a bench in the lobby of the Rosewood London — in front of an Eduardo Hoffman mural. The image suggests some filming activity at the hotel, though it cannot be confirmed that the Rosewood was used as an actual filming location rather than simply as cast accommodation or a production base. The Rosewood London, on High Holborn, is one of the city's most spectacular hotel interiors.
A fall 2026 premiere is the most realistic target, consistent with the show's established September pattern
