For the fifth season of Emily in Paris, production has chosen Venice, Italy, as the glamorous new backdrop for Lily Collins’ character, Emily Cooper. While Paris remains the core setting of the series, the Venetian storyline introduces a fresh layer of romance, fashion, and enchanting Italian charm.
Filming in Venice is scheduled to take place from August 15 to 25, 2025, with the production fully utilizing the city’s cinematic beauty. Viewers can expect to see some of Venice’s most iconic landmarks woven into Emily’s adventures.
One of the key filming locations is Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, a large square surrounded by historic buildings where the cast and crew were seen shooting lively outdoor scenes. Another notable spot is San Francesco della Vigna, a tranquil area that offers a quieter contrast to the city’s bustling piazzas.
Of course, no visit to Venice would be complete without its famous waterways. The production was set up on the Grand Canal, using boats and camera rigs to capture scenes of Emily gliding through the heart of the city. In one of the first-look photos released by Netflix, viewers can see Emily on the Grand Canal.
Fans also caught glimpses of Lily Collins filming near the Rialto Bridge, dressed in bold statement outfits that beautifully contrasted with the centuries-old Venetian architecture.
Additionally, smaller, less touristy areas were featured, allowing the series to showcase a more authentic side of Venice.
