When production moved to Milan in October 2025, filmmakers took full advantage of the city’s reputation as a global style capital. One of the most talked-about moments was filming at a Dolce & Gabbana runway show during Milan Fashion Week. In those scenes, Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly and Stanley Tucci’s Nigel Kipling sit front-row at the live fashion event, watching models strut down the catwalk—a scene that blends real fashion spectacle with the film’s fictional narrative.
Another key filming location in Milan was the Brera district, known for its fashionable boutiques, art galleries, and charming cobblestone streets. The production reportedly staged a large scene there with hundreds of extras.
Production also included scenes shot around central Milan and in front of elegant city landmarks. According to production databases, filming took place at locations such as via Borgonuovo, via Filodrammatici, and Piazza della Scala—close to some of Milan’s most famous architecture and cultural sites—as well as at the prestigious Palazzo Parigi, a luxury hotel that served as a production base during the Milan shoot.
Photographs from set also captured scenes at high-end fashion storefronts like the Tiffany & Co. boutique on Via Monte Napoleone, one of Milan’s most luxurious shopping streets.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set for release in May 2026.
