Marvel Studios has arrived at Windsor Great Park this June to film a significant scene for Avengers: Doomsday, turning the royal estate into a vast battleground inspired by Marvel lore. To secure access to the Crown Estate’s eight-square-mile grounds, the studio reportedly paid a multi-million-pound fee.
Filming is planned over four days this month, specifically on June 15, June 18, and June 26–27. Marvel has secured the location for up to six months to allow for the construction and dismantling of sets.
Two notable installations are prominent on the grounds:
Up to 300 cast and crew vehicles, 15 minibuses, and 25 technical trucks will occupy two main zones near Duke’s Lane and Dark Wood . Environmental safeguards are in place: all structures are outside ancient woodland buffer zones, and ground remediation will restore the park to its original state
Nicholas Day of the Crown Estate lauds this as “one of the largest single productions in the UK this year,” praising the smooth collaboration between Disney, Marvel, and local authorities .
